We’ve just acquired in our rental programme this fantastic villa near Rosignano Marittimo in Tuscany.
In Italy it’s so very rare to find a house only 4km from the beach with private swimming pool, private tennis court, barbeque, basketball net, table tennis and 4 bicycles so I wanted to share the news with you immediately.
It sleeps 14 people in 5 bedrooms with 4 bathrooms. With all these sports facilities on site it is ideal for family holidays or a large group of friends with children. Rental prices in Low Season start at Euro 1350 per week. The swimming pool opens 18/4/10 until 15/10/10. There is still good availability for summer holidays but please be quick to secure the remaining July and August dates. N.B. There is air conditioning on the top floor of the villa.

Italian workers have rejected a suggestion by cabinet minister Gianfranco Rotondi that they should skip the traditional full sit-down Italian lunch to protect both their waistlines and the Italian economy.
I’ve always wondered why the 2 hour siesta period is so strictly observed in all the Italian companies I know, in both summer and winter, when it means that workers get home so late each evening.
But I must agree with the nutritionist who commented that if Italians did not have a full lunch they would probably keel over in the afternoon, as they are notorious for their skimpy – or non-existent – breakfast. Often it’s just a double espresso standing in a bar/cafe, on which they will keep going until 1pm.

San Donnino, Ville di Corsano, Tuscany. Sleeps 31 in 13 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms. The property can be rented in its entirety for groups, in which case guests may use a large, shared common room with kitchen.

Nespolo, Lari, Tuscany. Sleeps 38 in 10 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms. Breakfast service available in a nice common room.
Montagnola
Montagnola, Siena, Tuscany. Sleeps 33 in 13 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms. By taking the whole property clients can also enjoy use of a large covered veranda near the pool for nice open-air meals. Cook service can be arranged upon request (to be agreed at booking confirmation).

We are often asked for villas with private pool very near to the coast in Italy. These are actually quite rare, certainly compared to other parts of Europe – often it is difficult for the owners to get planning approval for swimming pools near the coast.
One Stop Italy are therefore pleased to be able to offer La Tagliola, a 4 bedroom villa with private pool near the Tuscan coast (Castiglioncello). We are already taking bookings for 2010. Please be quick if you require a July/August reservation, as these weeks are always the first to book.
